Justin Allgaier says he “Finished It” following an early race battle with Ross Chastain which the JR Motorsports driver says that the duo have had past run in. On an early race restart on Lap 14 of Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at the Watkins Glen International, Chastain’s No. 4 Chevrolet got into Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevrolet in the inner-loop. As a result of the contact, Allgaier’s car when spinning off track and into the wall. Luckily, the Illinois native was able to continue on, but it took multiple pit stops to repair the rear end of his Chevy.
Allgaier, was fuming mad at Chastain for the incident. He got revenge. Five laps after the first initial incident (Lap 19) Allgaier was able to wreck Chastain on the exit of the inner loop, this time not only ending their battle but Chastain’s day too.
Chastain got into the wall hard saying that it was unfortunate and he better not say anything that he’ll regret later. He thanked NASCAR’s safety devices for him to be able to walk away.
Allgaier, would go on to finish fourth in the Zippo 200 and later admitted that he did that on purpose.

“He ran into my door going down the back straightaway and then the bus stop and then proceeded to hit me about three different times and proceeded to spin me out on purpose in the bus stop and tried to put me into the outside wall on the exit to the bus stop,” Allgaier said. “His idea of ‘not how you race the way at all,’ I mean I think he should look in the mirror. And that’s not the first time, either. You look at Daytona and I was completely inside of him and he just cranked a left. Last year at (Las) Vegas, he put me in the fence trying to battle for the lead.
“There’s been multiple times I’ve been on the receiving end. He can look at it however he wants to look at it but I feel like I finished it today.”
