I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash in Bristol TN this afternoon. Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding. — Kelley Earnhardt (@EarnhardtKelley) August 15, 2019
They were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation but all signs indicate all three will be okay.
Earnhardt, was flying to Tennessee to be part of the NBC Sports’ broadcast duties this weekend at the Bristol (Tenn) Motor Speedway which NBC later revealed that they gave Earnhardt a much needed weekend to be with his family instead. Word is Earnhardt returned to North Carolina via a car and will remain at home instead of taking part in broadcasting duties
Luckily, he and his family were able to escape serious injury in the accident.
