AUSTIN, TX – Andretti Technologies announced on Tuesday that they have formed a technical alliance with Harding Steinbrenner Racing.
HSR will be staffed by “veteran race engineers with Andretti Autosport experience” and will receive technical and development support. They’ll also get the same damper program that all four Andretti cars use as well.
The move isn’t surprising either with Harding always the likely suitor to be a partner with Andretti. Colton Herta was an Andretti driver in Indy Lights and is said that they didn’t want him to get away too far.
Last year at Sonoma, the car driven by Pato O’Ward was an Andretti alliance car. That’s a main reason as to why he was so strong compared to Herta last September. Nothing against O’Ward either, it’s just his equipment was better.
Now, Herta gets that alliance.
Andretti Technologies was founded in 2014.
