There’s no doubt about it, Clint Bowyer and Daniel Suarez have some positive momentum going their way now. After a rough start to the year, both now are rolling.
Suarez, has improved from 13th in Fontana to 10th in Martinsville to third last week in Texas. He was 11th in this race a year ago.
Furthermore, Suarez has finished in the top 20 in all four of his Bristol Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts. If he can get another top 10 finish in Sunday’s Food City 500 (2 p.m. ET/FS1/PRN/SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) then he takes more momentum to one of his strongest tracks next week in Richmond.
Suarez, has three top 12 finishes in his four Richmond starts including a 10th place finish in the spring race last year.
This could be his moment to turn heads.
It’s also Bowyer’s turn too.
Bowyer, has three top eight finishes at Bristol in four tries as a member of SHR including eight top 10’s in his last 11 races at Bristol overall. He finished seventh two weeks ago in Martinsville and was runner-up last week in Texas.
Then, it’s onto Richmond where Bowyer finished in the top 10 in both races last year.
After that, it’s to Talladega a place where SHR dominated the top four in the running order for over 95-percent of the race last fall.
This could potentially be a great month for Suarez and Bowyer.
