Toyota’s Lineup Taking Shape At All Levels For 2020

With Riley Herbst’s signing with Joe Gibbs Racing for a seat in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for 2020, the Toyota driver lineup for next season across all levels are taking shape. We know that the same four drivers with Joe Gibbs Racing on the Cup level will be back next year. We know now that Herbst will join Harrison Burton and Brandon Jones in NXS.

That just leaves the rides with Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck Series. I can’t see Todd Gilliland being back but expect Chandler Smith to replace him. Smith, has made three Truck starts already this season with finishes of eighth (Iowa), fourth (Gateway) and second (Bristol) respectively.

Also, the most recent ARCA champion Christian Eckes makes sense to replace Burton as he’s made 11 starts in the Truck Series during his career with seven top 10’s and three poles. He’s ready.

There’s also Hailie Deegan who’s ready. She ran in K&N this past year and some select ARCA starts. Does she return to ARCA in 2020 or end up in the Truck Series? I have a feeling she’ll do both.

Other than that, there’s not much more room. Logan Seavey is an up and coming star but his best path is ARCA.
